What customers say?

“ We were staying at STF Abisko Turiststation, but made the easy walk (40 minutes) into town to dine at the Abisko Mountain Lodge. Such a treat! Enjoyed relaxing cocktails (Paloma & Old Fashion) in the lobby by the fireplace before seating for dinner. We were immediately taken by their ambition that we should remember this meal when dining elsewhere (photo), and continued to enjoy the entire experience. Our dining experience began with fresh bread served with salted butter, and progressed to a delicious and rich beet root soup. We had the Cod and Reindeer entrees, both very satisfying. The Mountain Lodge Coffee (think Irish Coffee with a local twist) capped off our meal, and we left so pleased with this choice. ”

“ Why can’t we give more than 5 stars? Such a special place for the food but especially for the two wonderful people who shared their time and knowledge with us of true north Swedish food (and an alert to leave the restaurant as an aurora has just appeared)! Also, outside the restaurant too - thank you also for the coffee and the hats which we will wear with special memories! Tried Moose tartare, Reindeer stew, Cloudberries, homemade coffee ice cream, a can of local Juicy beer and the best ever sweet potato chips! We have had a lot of chips! Unforgettable. ”

“ The only restaurant in Abisko, located inside the Abisko Mountain Lodge hotel. The food was good, I recommend to try the reindeer. Prices are quite high. ”

“ Food here is amazing! Every little side and sauce are well made and they fit so well with the main dish. We ordered steak and moose schnitzel like it a lot! ”

“ Having been based in Abisko as a guide for the past two months, I hadn't yet had the chance to dine at Brasserie Fjällköket and what a revelation it was. It was an absolute 'sans-faute' from start to finish. The Arctic Char starter was remarkably delicate with a beautiful play on textures. As for the reindeer, the balance was spot on: the smokiness of the meat paired perfectly with the acidity of the pickled mushrooms and the sweetness of the purée. From the visual presentation to the depth of flavor, the technical mastery is evident without ever losing the authenticity of local ingredients. A must-visit that I will now be recommending to my guests without hesitation Jeff ( Explore Arctic AB ) ”

“ There is essentially only 1 restaurant in Abisko, and is located within the Arctic Mountain Lodge (though if you have a car, you can drive a bit to find some alternatives near the Skystation or at Björkliden). Food here is fantastic. The cod fish was so tender and well cooked, and the sauce pairing was excellent. The same can be said for the reindeer. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. We devoured both dishes happily. We had Cloudberries and Brûlée for desserts. The cloudberry was a well thought out and well-presented dessert. The combination of all components eaten together was great. The coffee taste in the ice cream was, in my opinion, a bit too mild and could be stronger. The ambience and atmosphere of the restaurant and the lodging was great. It set the mood really well especially in winter. Great decorations all around too! ”

“ Brasserie Fjällköket was an absolute gem – simple yet beautifully prepared food with clear influences from the local Arctic environment. We especially appreciated the local craft beer, refined wine list, and simple yet well balanced menu for our two days visit. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a relaxed mountain lodge feel that made us want to linger long after dessert. The staff (Alice in particular) were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about both the food and the local area, which really added to the experience. A perfect end to a day of adventure in Abisko – highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic northern flavors in a cozy, high-quality setting. ”

“ This is the best restaurant of my holidays in the North. The service was perfect. The beautiful lady was absolutely lovely. Not to much on the menu which gives already certitude about the quality of the restaurant. There was taste on the Moose plate, that red wine sauce was amazing. The crème brûlée was just what it needs to be. From A-Z a very good experience for a very reasonable price. I strongly recommend this restaurant. ”
